A discerning web-reader might ask, "What the heck is the deal with this section?" Fortunately we have an answer. Somewhere, underneath the notes for the last game and the stack of back-up data on DVD's.... Yes, here it is! "Sheep's Clothing" is the part of the site where we talk about the games we have worked on for companies other than VBG, some highlights of the job, and links to the company's site if you are interested in talking a look at the games. Games in this section are all currently available; other designs might be talked about in the forums. So take a look at how we spend our time when not working on VBG stuff!

"Elder Evils" was my first foray back into tabletop after close to a decade working on mobile games. Thanks to Gwendolyn Kestrel for giving me a shot, and thanks to Jennifer Wilkes Clarke for the comments and edits. Time was quite tight, and I spent more time in playtesting than I did in writing or design. The more testing I did, the more fun the project became. Ragnorra was a blast to work on. Bad guys who are truly bad enough to end the world? What DM doesn't want to try one of those? Each one of these foes can drastically chew up real-estate, and the DM has plenty of options to choose from for Evils. Heroes who can stop these monsters are worthy of the name. I think the book fits in well with the Spellplague myth line Wizards has developed to transition to DND 4E. If you are looking for a way to go from DND 3.5 to 4E, tangling with Elder Evils would be a nasty, brutish, but fun way to foreshadow the transition. I have been doing that in my personal campaign, but now that the book is out I am going to have file off some serial numbers so the players don't know too much. Yeah, I am talking to you, Spencer and Drew. For more on these great evils, head on over to http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4ex/20071203. Tell 'em vbggreg sent you.
